Trimble Marine Construction Systems for Cutter Suction Dredges
Cutter Suction Dredging Applications
The operator and tug captain are provided with a live feed of the dredger, where they can see the vessel outline, dredge head, surveyed surface, design, and dredged depth through plan and profile views.
The solutions offered are strong and dependable, ensuring maximum operational time without interruptions. The visualization of dredge tolerance assists in achieving precise and efficient dredging productivity by providing guidance.
The system supports RTK (Real-Time Kinematic) for accurate tide and heave calculations, enhancing precision. Project design and survey models can be imported or created in the office or on-site, offering flexibility in managing the project.
Real-Time Visualization and Monitoring
Trimble Marine Construction systems enable the visualization and tracking of the ladder and cutter head's angle and position. It allows users to view the precise location of the dredge head relative to surveyed and multiple design surfaces. The system updates the working surface with real-time dredged depths and displays them in plan, profile, and 3D views. Additionally, it offers the option to set over-dredge and under-dredge tolerances, which are visible on the profile view of the dredge head.
The system also supports real-time SONAR inputs, allowing for as-built capabilities. It offers continuous data logging for as-built records and volume reports.
Trimble Marine Construction Systems for Clamshell Crane Dredges
Clamshell Dredging Applications
Trimble Marine Construction systems specifically designed for clamshell dredging applications assist dredge operators in enhancing productivity and efficiency. The system provides operators with a live, real-time overview of the crane, tool, and barge through plan and profile views. The displays include important information such as the bucket position, status of the bucket (open or closed), bucket depth, as well as the surveyed and design depths.
The solutions offered are robust and dependable, ensuring maximum operational time without interruptions. The visualization of dredge tolerance assists in achieving accurate and efficient dredging productivity by providing guidance.
To enable precise tracking of non-vertical cables, the system also supports third-party laser sensors. Additionally, the diking mode feature facilitates material placement operations, further enhancing operational efficiency.
Real-Time Visualization and Monitoring
The dredger is equipped with real-time plan and profile view displays that show the clamshell, design depths, and a color-coded Digital Terrain Model (DTM). The DTM indicates variations in elevation relative to the desired grade and is continuously updated to track the progress of the dredging work. As the clamshell shape changes, the updates are immediately visible in all views. The system also provides information on the open/close status of the bucket. Furthermore, a convenient built-in calibration procedure is available to easily calibrate the cable counters.
In addition to these features, the system supports real-time sonar inputs, enabling as-built capabilities. It also offers continuous data logging for as-built records and volume reports. For precise tide and heave calculations, the system can utilize precise RTK (Real-Time Kinematic) technology.
Real-Time Seafloor and Design
Up/down indicators show the operator the exact distance to the seafloor and design depth during movement. The software supports complex 3D designs.
