The R2Sonic Multibeam echo sounders provide the next generation of data resolution and control functionality. The system has on-the-fly selectable frequencies from 200kHz – 400kHz. The swath width can be broadened to 160 degrees or focused to 10 degrees. When the beams are focused, they can then be steered to either side to provide saturate an area of interest with more coverage. The sonar head allows for a sound velocity sensor to be installed that provides real-time data to the head during the beam forming process.
